This wine is quite special and we think you will thoroughly enjoy it. Here's your chance to pick up a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Quintessence vineyard from the Red Mountain AVA. Quintessence vineyard has long been sought after for some of the finest and boldest wines in Washington state. The fruit is truly epic and we have been lucky to be able to acquire such a beast over the last few years. This limited production Cabernet Sauvignon from Red Mountain will have you hoarding bottles and hiding them from your holiday guests. This inky beauty has aromatics of dark cherry, blackberry and mocha, along with shiso spice. The wine on the palate is sultry with layers of fruit, soft rose petals and a hint of cedar that will continue to unfold as it opens. The finish is both elegant and luscious. This wine spent two years in barrel and over one year in bottle before being released. Enjoy now with an optional decant, or hold it for many years to come; in which case it will become even more smooth and velvety. Although you may want to wait for that special occasion to open a bottle such as this, remember that opening a bottle will make the day a special occasion.
I love this wine, and my hope is you will as well. The Cabernet fruit for this wine all comes from Red Mountain, a tiny little area in the state of Washington, producing some of the best wines in the world. The fruit from this location can sometimes be hard to tame, but I think with the gentle handling of extraction, oak and extra time in bottle, I have achieved what I wanted to do. And that was to make a heck of a great Cabernet.
