A gorgeous Cabernet Franc heavy (75%) Bordeaux style wine (also containing Cabernet Sauvignon and traces of Merlot and Petit Verdot) that will knock your socks off. Here's a softer, less tannin wine that is smooth and velvety from the start; and will further become even smoother as it opens, or if you're patient enough to store it for awhile. Well balanced blackberry and black cherry fruit with some nice lingering black pepper spice. Our Descendant is always a favorite for those that like heavy Cabernet Franc Bordeaux blends; and this one will certainly not disappoint. You will probably want to pick up a few extra bottles, but hurry because the majority will be going to the wine club.
This wine is made up of many of the varietals I love, and a culmination from all of my favorite vineyards. They all come together to make a beautiful complex wine. I believe this wine is great to drink now but will also last for years to come. Aged in a blend of new and neutral French oak for 22 months before bottling gives this wine the right amount of structure without detracting from the fruit and aromatics.
