Our Cabernet Franc wines are always in high demand, and the 2020 version will be no different. A little grippy right out of the bottle now (because this baby was made to cellar for a few years), but let it open for a few hours or give it a good decant and it will be ready for you now. The bold tannin and acid levels of this wine, however, will reward you later if you have the patience to store this in your cellar, as its sleek, elegant texture will age fantastically.
Opening now, you get some amazing spice (a cross between black pepper, green pepper and shiso spice, with the green pepper becoming more dominant as it opens. The fruit is mild at the moment, but hints of wild cherry and raspberry are there, and will only become more prevalent as the wine opens. Dark chocolate and cedar round out the finish. Enjoy this wine with or without food, or, if you're game, pair it with a nice piece of chocolate caramel candy.
